The 'Muhtarlar Akademisi' training program in Burdur has been completed

The "Muhtarlar Akademisi" training program organized for the muhtars in Burdur concluded with a certificate ceremony. The program, conducted in collaboration with the Burdur Governorship, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), Burdur Central Neighborhood Muhtars Association, and Burdur Central Village Muhtars Association, was implemented within the scope of the signed protocol.

During the four-day training, experts and academicians provided muhtars with information on many topics such as duties and responsibilities, effective communication with public institutions, use of digital tools, cyber security, ways to protect against fraud methods, first aid practices, protocol rules, current agriculture and livestock techniques, the importance of cooperatives, pasture usage, disaster management, protection of families and disadvantaged groups, combating violence against women, legislation on the protection of cultural assets, notification system, climate change, and environmental issues. Additionally, experts from Kızılay and Yeşilay made comprehensive presentations on disaster, health, social aid, and combating addiction.

Throughout the program, attended by Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan, Head of the Muhtars Department of the Ministry of Interior Suna Üstüner, and various institution directors, muhtars had the opportunity to directly convey their problems to the representatives of the relevant institutions. On the last day of the training, Psychologist Şengül Yiğit, Kızılay Burdur President Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Murat Kuş, Kızılay General Center Blood Donation Field Coordinator Dr. Metin Kalender, and Yeşilay officials conducted informative presentations for the muhtars. It was decided to carry out similar activities in the villages.

At the closing of the program, Governor Bilgihan first presented the participation certificate to Head of the Muhtars Department of the Ministry of Interior Suna Üstüner. Then, together with Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, certificates were awarded to 327 muhtars who successfully completed the training.
